Born in Florence on 9/6/1965.
Graduated in Mathematics on 4/24/1991 at the University of Florence, with a thesis on Finite Geometry (supervisor Prof. Adriano Barlotti).
Holder of a study grant by the Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica "Francesco Severi", which permitted me to spend the academic year 1991/92 with Prof. Karl Strambach at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg (Germany).
In 1992 I won a four-year doctoral grant from the University of Florence.
Since 12/1/1995 researcher at the Istituto di Analisi Globale ed Applicazioni (CNR), Florence.
I received my Ph.D. in mathematics in 1997 (title of the thesis "Volumes and projections of convex bodies", supervisor Prof. Stefano Campi).
